Spirited Worship (formerly “Family Worship”) is a time for people of ALL AGES to be thinking, spiritual beings together. Worship is at the center of the life of a church, the hub from which all of our social justice work and education efforts radiate. These 30 minute services are for the entire community of the UU Church of Davis - children, youth and adults. They offer chances to connect across the generations and to share experiences of awe, amusement, exploration, celebration, praise, commitment, questioning, grief, gratitude and reflection. Rev. Beth Banks, our Religious Exploration Director, Kate Raymond, and our intern, Kate Kennedy, lead these high quality, high energy, interactive services with the assistance of Junior Worship Associates and other talented people of the church. The music varies from week to week and the style of the worship is engaging and always participatory. Services are held each Sunday from 10:15-10:45am.
They're a great opportunity to bring a friend and introduce them to our church!
Spirited Worship Associates will receive personal invitations to a training session with Beth on Sun., Sept. 17, 12:30-1:30pm, in the Cottage. Bring a bag lunch because we'll be having fun and eating at the same time. If your child is new to the congregation and we don't have a registration for them, please contact the Church Office 753-2581 ext. 100, or office@uudavis.org The training will be run by Rev. Banks. RSVP to the Church Office.
